Owner Profile
With a background in animal shelter work and several office career paths, Sharon brought a wealth of knowledge to her role as the Petcarers owner since 2012. Sharon has a deep love of animals, their welfare and the relationship between pets and their human parents. Sharon has two rescue cats; Harry (pictured) and Luna. She also loves Home Boarding client's dogs and hutch pets in her purpose built home in Lockwood, Bendigo. This service is a "home away from home" for much loved pets. Sharon has completed her Pet First Aid Certificate.
Carers
Fiona has extensive experience in the animal care field. She has volunteered at the RSPCA and also fosters dogs and cats for local rescues. Fiona is currently completing her Certificate 4 in Companion Animal Studies and is particularly interested in the psychology and behaviour of pets. She loves being able to win over particularly nervous pets and has been nicknamed “the cat whisperer” by Sharon. Fiona has a gorgeous and cheeky dog, Freya (pictured), and three foster-fail cats – Pharaoh, Penelope and Shadow. A 'foster-fail' is what happens when you were supposed to give the cat back after fostering but decided to keep it! She has completed her Pet First Aid Certificate.
This is Beth who is passionate about animals. She has volunteered at the wildlife shelter and RSPCA and now has a certificate 3 in animal companion animals services and certificate 3 in pet grooming. She has completed her Pet First Aid Certificate. 2023 Beth's current study a Certificate in Canine Remedial Massage. Beth has experience feeding farm animals, horses, cows, even deer and emus as well as domestic pets. She enjoys helping people feel at ease when they go away knowing their animals will receive the love they deserve. |
Sam has completed her Certificates 2 & 3 in Animal Studies and in 2023/2024 is studying her vet nursing. She grew up on a farm, and has cared for farm animals, dogs, cats, horses, chickens, mice, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits and lizards. She has also worked in a kennel with adult dogs and newborn puppies.

Mel joined us early in 2023 and is one of our regular dog walking pet carers. Mel previously volunteered for a Dingo Conservation park, with livestock with the RSPCA, and at a Koala Park. Mel is pictured with her dog Karma. She has completed her Pet First Aid Certificate |
Karen is our office assistant, pictured here with 2IC Harry. Karen works 2 days per week, has a background in admin including the Bendigo Sheep & Wool Show, and has 1 hubby, 2 children, 4 grandchildren, & 3 grand fur babies. |
