The establishment of Pet Carers in-home pet care service was born through my own need for a pet sitter. I was feeling uncomfortable at the thought of engaging a hobby sitter who was uninsured and who couldn't provide a police clearance check - after all, they would be coming into my home when I wasn't there. So, after much research, I was unable to find a carer which met the quality standards I was looking for - they may be out there in the Bendigo region somewhere, but I couldn't find them. As well as the above credentials, I was also looking for a person who provided more than just a daily feed and fresh water. I wanted a carer who would take the time to understand the needs of my dogs and cats and who would genuinely enjoy learning about their different personalities - their likes, dislikes, what caused them stress and especially, what would help them feel happy and content whilst I was away. The development of this business idea was further validated by the many people I came across through my work in the animal care industry - people who were also looking for similar alternatives to their own pet care needs. As the owner of Pet Carers, I have an industry background in animal welfare and in caring for companion animals. My passion for animals has been demonstrated in many aspects of my life and this committment is further duplicated in the staff who work for Pet Carers. Strong business management experience will also ensure the service our team provides you is highly professional.
